Introduction
This assignment from a corporate client involved conducting a topographical survey of internal, external and main drains of Industrial Area Sector 1 to 11 of NOIDA, for preparation of a Development Project Report of storm water project.
The survey encompassed -
Size and sectional details of existing drains
Topographical survey along the drains and at junctions.
Direction of flow.
Complete size of ramps (including its material) covering the drain at certain locations.
Complete details of encroachment on the drains.
Location, size and invert levels of culverts.
Width of existing roads/streets including the type of road (bituminous / concrete).
The survey aimed at identifying and locating points where industrial effluents were being discharged into the system.
