Date Tree Survey for Muscat Government

Introduction
The Government of Muscat called upon us to map Date palms in Ibri Farm.We installed a battery powered base station, Rover and radio. Two tripods at the base station caught and stored geographical data. Trees in the area were geo-tagged using Trimble devices.
We also included physical tagging of the trees wherein a QR code and details of the farm, cultivator, tree code and number were compiled.Details of number of fronds, their average length, average girth of the trunk were also captured and stored. Each tree had a unique number and was photographed.
